Our client, a leading premium Menswear Brand has a new opening for a Sourcing Coordinator. This is a standalone position working alongside a lovely team!
Sourcing coordinator role:
• Manage develop and oversee the supply base. The role focuses on supplier relationship management, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and optimizing supply chain efficiency. Along with managing the supply chain through the collection of factory Audits and certifications.
• Working with the Technical team the Sourcing Coordinator will provide support for the business ensuring all products comply with legal and accepted industry standards.
• Ensure all suppliers are aware of/comply with Compliance (inc reporting) with UK and global
legislation on products & packaging.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure all suppliers comply with relevant ethical, environmental, and regulatory standards. Through partnering with an online platform, manage and collect the data on environmental sustainability, Assessing the impact of a factory on the environment, covering energy use, water consumption, chemical and waste management. Help facilities identify areas for improvement and track progress.
• Through the client’s online platform, evaluate and monitor working conditions, health, and safety, working hours, and fair wages within the supply chain are being upheld.
• Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and develop action plans for improvement.
• Working closely with the technical team to ensure compliance of all products to legal standards.
• Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain efficiency and supplier performance.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure business continuity.
• To review and feedback on social audits to global suppliers
• To maintain & update the complex supply chain tracker . To monitor all new factory set ups and liaise with buying teams with updates
• Support product teams to ensure Statement of origin certifications are gathered from the supplier and renewed every 6 months
• Regular research of the market for competitor comparison, media trends, NGO campaigns to inform strategy.
• Create and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders including consultants, certification bodies, industry groups and NGOs to understand key issues within the sector.
• Participate in relevant external corporate responsibility groups and networks & feedback to the business
• Work collaboratively with relevant teams across the business to engage them on CSR issues, develop their skills and knowledge.
Person Specification:
Experience Required
• Bachelor degree in supply chain management, Business Administration in a related field .
• Proven experience in supplier management, procurement, or supply chain management within the fashion or apparel industry, specifically in menswear.
• Experience in managing supplier relationships. Confidence in holding VC with the suppliers building supplier relationships through good communication skills.
• Understand Compliance with quality, ethical, and regulatory standards.
• Understanding of the manufacturing processes
